Changed your mind. Want your money back.

DOA (7 days)

It arrived dead. We replace it free, no questions.

Warranty swap

It broke on its own within 1 year. We ship a replacement first.

Trade-in return

You rejected our adjusted offer on your trade-in.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Return (Buyer's Remorse)

You have 30 days from delivery to return any machine for any reason — didn't like the keyboard, screen was smaller than you expected, you found a better deal, whatever. No lectures.

Restocking fee policy

Sealed box, never opened: 0% restocking fee. Full refund.

Box opened, machine used: $75 flat restocking fee deducted from your refund. We have to re-inspect, re-refresh macOS, re-photograph, and re-list, which is real labor.

Cosmetic damage or missing accessories: Refund is further reduced for actual parts cost — we'll tell you the number before we charge it. If you disagree, we'll ship the machine back to you at our cost.

How to start a return

  1. Email rick@luxuriouscomputers.com with your order number + reason.
  2. Rick sends a prepaid FedEx return label within one business day.
  3. Pack the machine in the original box if you can, or any sturdy box with padding. Include the charger and any accessories that came with it.
  4. Drop at any FedEx location or schedule a pickup.
  5. Refund is issued to your original payment method within 5 business days of our receiving the unit.

2. Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) — 7 Days, Free Replacement

If your machine arrives and won't power on, has a dead screen, a dead keyboard, a port that doesn't work, or any other basic hardware failure within 7 days of delivery — that's a DOA.

DOA terms: free replacement, no questions, no $75 restocking fee, no warranty-claim paperwork. Email Rick within 7 days, we ship the replacement first, you ship the dead one back on our label. Most DOA cases are resolved in under 48 hours.

3. 1-Year Warranty Replacement (Swap Before RMA)

Every unit we ship comes with a 1-year whole-machine replacement warranty on parts that fail on their own. Details on what's covered and not covered are on our Terms of Service. The short version:

Covered: logic board, battery below 80%, keyboard/trackpad, storage, ports, speakers, mic, camera, and non-impact display failures.

NOT covered: drops, spills, cracks, water damage, intentional damage, cosmetic wear, software config you broke. For those, you'd want AppleCare+ from Apple separately.

How warranty replacement works

  1. Email rick@luxuriouscomputers.com with your order number and a short description (a 15-second video of the failure speeds things up a lot).
  2. Rick confirms coverage — usually same day.
  3. We ship your replacement first. You do not mail your broken unit in first and wait three weeks. We ship from the nearest warehouse within 48 hours of confirmation.
  4. Your replacement arrives with a prepaid return label for the broken one.
  5. You have 14 days to ship back the broken unit. If it's not on its way within 14 days, the replacement becomes a second purchase on your card at the original price.

No RMA number. No triage ticket. No service loop. We just ship another refurbished unit of equal or better spec. That's the whole process.

4. Trade-In Returns

This is the edge case. You shipped us a trade-in, we inspected it, and the machine materially differed from what was described (undisclosed damage, wrong model, won't power on when you said it did). We'll send you an adjusted offer within 5 business days.

Your options:

Abandoned-trade-in policy: If you don't respond to our adjusted offer within 14 days, we consider the unit abandoned and may recycle, donate, or dispose of it at our discretion. We send two reminder emails during that window. Please just reply — we'd rather ship it back than dispose of it.
